A little about Simonstown
A charming naval town named after the governor of the Cape Colony, Simon van der Stel - upon whose recommendation the Bay was used by the Dutch East India Trading Company for winter anchorage.
(Table Mountain National Park) - Famous for its thriving colony of African Penguins and sheltered safe beaches where you can even swim with the penguins!
